Serving Great Brands for 45 Years
When I launched Brand Think Plus, I envisioned a number of catchy titles that might capture my mission—Innovative Solutionist, Dynamic Visionary, Strategic Helmsman (thanks to AI for that one)—but none were me! My goal is to help you tackle the challenges you're facing. With more than 45 years of experience, filled with ups and downs and significant victories, I have a wealth of insights to offer you.
So, like in my baseball days, the title that fits best is simply "COACH"
History
2008 – 2024 Barnett & Associates, Founder – exclusively representing Creative Energy, serving top domestic and global companies, including Johnsonville, The Coca-Cola Company, Ole Mexican Foods, Hoshizaki, FLAT technologies, and Fischer Connectors.
1992 – 2008 Creative Energy, Founder, Partner, and Vice-President – involved in all phases of management and client service, helping the agency to grow into one of the top small agencies in the southeast, serving many clients including Siemens, Akzo-Nobel, Moody Dunbar, Pals, and Laminate Technologies
I began my journey in 1979 with a BFA in graphic design and marketing from East Tennessee State University with the latest technology in hand: a brand-new T-square, a bottle of rubber cement, an X-acto knife, a dot glass, and a set of cool technical pens.
After two and a half years as a graphic designer and printing sales rep, I spent the next 11 years founding a design house/printing company, an ad specialty company, and working as an independent agency consultant. I did not let size hinder my ability to serve exceptional clients, including AFG Industries, Texas Instruments, Eastman Chemical Company, MECO, Ball Metal, Arcata Graphics, the U.S. Government, Magnavox, and a variety of top music industry bands from the 1980s.
With this history, the only way I have survived is to learn constantly. I will bring you ideas on how AI can support your own critical thinking. I can guide you in navigating team-building challenges, managing remote work, keeping a finger on the industry pulse, creating social strategy, including social listening, and improving SEO. As a coaching bonus, I can help you with a great wine or the best taco in any city!
